Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba
hi i upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 and i could not get into the system (udev trigger terminated ... error ... / not ready). i had a look and found the solution in the forums, did a 'apt-get update' and was prompted to run 'dpkg --configure -a', which i did. during this process errors related to samba were already indicated. the system opened without a problem except that i was prompted to report this samba error, but i am not aware of any functional issues. the windows directory is mounted in my upgraded system and accessible. so i do not know why i was prompted to report this problem, maybe you can detect something. regards jan ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Apr 30 12:43:13 2011 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) SambaClientRegression: Yes SourcePackage: samba Title: package samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-04-28 (1 days ago) ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774046 Title: package samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
