installs, deinstalls and reinstalls just fine here in a lucid system.
Are you sure there is not another MTA running on your system? Maybe
it's best for you to start a new ticket with apport-bug dovecot-
common.

Hi, Rolf, it does re-install after purge but doesn,t work any more.
There is nothing else running on this brand-new install and everything
points to corruption. A port scan with netstat gave nothing on that

I've tested this bug again w/ the new patch, it is working fine as
expected for me, w/ no increase of RES memory while running the
multipath commands to add/remove devices in udev.
Looks ready to me (and w/ my testing of bug #455832), it should be ready
for pushing.
