bug not fixed on 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.11 version ... today i modified some php.ini
settings and when i restarted php-fastcgi
i got 500 internal error / only this time the error.log message was different
2011/12/18 12:18:15 [error] 21722#0: *1315 recv() failed (104:
Connection reset by peer) while
This was fixed upstream. I will make a patch in precise.

Grabbing patches from Augeas tickets 188 and 211 fixes the bug. A package with
