During the install of phpmyadmin you should have been asked a few
question. I take it you opted to use dbconfig-common to configure your
database settings? Do you remember the answers you gave and the
responses you got?
Also, the last respons I can see in the attached DpkgTerminalLog.txt
looks
Mysql had already been installed. I don't know why I got the failed install
message. Since Mysql was already configured, I opted NOT to use
dbconfig-common to configure the settings. Then I got the
error.
Late last night I did a purge remove of phpmyadmin and repeated the
process ACCEPTING to
