Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu I regularly use the user switching feature which basically spawns
multiple X Servers.
This has never been a problem until Lucid.
Now when I switch from one user to another, sometimes the X server being
switched to freezes and takes up 100% CPU on one CPU core.
Oops , not an xorg-edgers issue Others using stock lucid are also
facing the bug.

[PPC] Wrong colours on big-endian machine
Software rendering was fixed in mesa 7.6.1. Karmic has mesa 7.6.0. So
since 7.6.1 all should be good everywhere.

I have a Aver Revo Atom 330 nvidia ION Netbook, and I get the same
thing. The screen looks different, but it's also unusable. Just
scrambled, like Pay-TV if you don't pay for it...
It never worked for me. In the test results, people with an ION (9400)
come off badly...

gdm screen grabled on
Thanks for the fix; in the last three or four weeks the freeze occurred
only three times on my notebook. As it used to occur regularly once per
day on the first boot after switching on, that is a great improvment.
I seem no longer to be able to use the notebook screen, only the
secondary screen,

I just checked the package, and the reason is that the nvidia driver
does not actually ship the .desktop file in /usr/share/applications/,
but in a different dir, and I suppose the postinst creates a link
dynamically. This does not trigger a rebuild of the menu cache.
What we can do here is:
temporary packaging glitch, closing.
