It's the powermeter. It doesn't seem to do anything, but it does!
Turn it on (it'll turn a TINY bit brighter) and off again (or you'll
defenatly be unstable) and for me it's WAY better than it was atleast.
I've had some crashes, but only with the power cord out (which also adds
to instability :/

Unfortunately this is not fixed in the xorg-server case. The build log
for 2:1.7.6-2ubuntu7 confirms that pkg-create-dbgsym 0.42 got installed,
but I still get CRC mismatch on /usr/bin/Xorg.
The snippet below from the build log shows that -dbgsym was built twice.

With the latest update (rc2) which included a fix to both the main and
intel it detects the screens in under a second. It may also have been
something with the kernel, but in any case it works fine now.
I consider it fixed.

Update. Just tried video=CRT-0:800x600 command on Ubuntu 9.10 Live CD
and it worked fine. I wonder if this is a bug in Lucid.
