apparent GPU hang on haswell
As a part of the Stable Release Updates quality process a search for
Launchpad bug reports using the version of nvidia-settings from precise-
proposed was performed and bug 1268027 was found. Please investigate
this bug report to ensure that a regression will not be created by this

Christopher, I have tested Quantal 12.10 and I got no crahes. I got an Xorg
crash testing Raring 13.04.
I would like to attach the crash file to this bug report, but if I try
ubuntu-bug -c _usr_bin_Xorg.0.crash -u 1238902 I get an error: ERROR: The
launchpadlib Python module is not installed.
Carla Sella, I wouldn't worry about attaching a crash file, or filing
another report as this report has a full backtrace. Now that you have
bisected Ubuntu releases and identified the problem is going from
Quantal to Raring, the next step would be to fully commit bisect between
these releases to

At some point, I stopped seeing the problem on my laptop. I'm afraid I
have no idea what package update (or other change) may have brought
about the resolution in the interim.
