Title:
I've been able to install the latest package from lunar-proposed on my
HP Elitebook 8570W. Ubuntu boots but as with the previous version, no
GUI but just a black screen with white blinking underscore. Only fix is
to change to another tty and deinstall. I have searched in dmesg for any
errors but
it seems that i've managed to update to it before it was pulled from
updates.
I just hope that 2020604 fix won't revert this fix.
choosing between a fix for kwin crash that often leads to the need to
relogin alltoghether, and a fix for minor chromium graphics glitches -
i'd prefer a fix for kwin

kwin_x11: The X11 connection
According to the launchpad page for mesa 22.2.5-0ubuntu0.1~22.04.2
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/22.2.5-0ubuntu0.1~22.04.2)
the package is still in proposed, not updates. @tjaalton 's message in
#72 suggests it has been released to updates but this appears incorrect.
I'm on 22.04

That's correct, but so far llvm updates have been done in tandem with
mesa backports, so I'm not too worried about those this time.
The upstream solution should take that into account, though.
