[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 563100] Re: Mouse movement corrupted with Xinerama enabled

That is not what this bug is about though. I have 4 monitors and from left to right they are 0 1 2 3 so there are no negative numbers to deal with on the x server. There is something else wrong. Your bug is probably https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg- server/+bug/570151 that one. --

With that PPA I am still having the problem with dual 8800GTS cards running 4 monitors. My original bug report is here and that has all of my setup in it. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/570151 -- Mouse movement corrupted with Xinerama enabled

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 563100 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563100 I don't think my bug is a duplicate. If you look at my xorg.conf you will see that all the displays are in order. So there should be no issue with a signed number or not dealing with negatives like the other

Hmm I did not know that xinerama was deprecated. So what do they suggest be used? Eyefinity is only for ati cards and not ready on linux yet. RandR did not get gpu object support so that does not work with multiple video cards either. Xinerama seems to be the only technology we have right now and

Public bug reported: This url pretty much has the exact description of the problem I have http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-818488-start-0.html and their solution was to downgrade to xserver 1.6 but I don't see how to do that with ubuntu. I have two 8800GTS video cards and two monitors on
