I noticed when Firefox updated to the normal version, it was called Firefox.
Then when it updated to the firefox-smooth-scaling version, it was called
Namoroka, and it also sends Namoroka as user-agent instead of firefox.
This causes compatibility problems for some sites, similar to this bug:
Nouvea has small issue with fix, see my attachment with kaffeine
homepage-screenshot. It happens with other pages too, wikipedia.org,
openstreetmap.org, start.ubuntu.com start.ubuntu.com/10.04/Google/ for
example. No issues on the same system with nvidia proprietary driver.

because I'm not running karmic anymore, so I don't notice when the
repository gets out of date. Anyway, it should work now until the next

Firefox will not be using system xulrunner in Lucid, according to this spec

So, any patches will need to be made against firefox itself.

This is very annoying, when images get messep up. It's not a nice web

I don't think Firefox itself needs modification, the PPA for
firefox-smooth-zoom only has one changed package, xulrunner.
However, the firefox-smooth-zoom PPA doesn't seem to work anymore after the
latest updates to Firefox.

But upstream is unresponsive on the issue, and the ubuntu maintainers
can't (or don't want to) roll out their own patches.
It probably has to do with the fact that you can't distribute a
modified version of Firefox, and still call it Firefox. Cause the name

I confirm this bug on Karmic. I discovered it using Image Zoom firefox
