This bug was reported against an earlier version of Ubuntu, can you
test if it still occurs on Lucid?
Please note we also provide technical support for older versions of
Ubuntu, but not in the bug tracker. Instead, to raise the issue through
Unfortunately without any logs we can't dig into it much deeper, and
from what you have posted I can see you are using xorg-edgers which is
prone to breakage given the daily updates. If possible, can you please
install ppa-purge from there, then use ppa-purge to remove all xorg-
edgers packages,
