You have been subscribed to a public bug:

on ubuntu 11.04 64bits, the system hangs and CPU overloads on following actions:
- booting in single
- login in KDE (blocked on 2 icons in splash screen, tools icon)
- swapping to console on KDM (CTRL+Alt+Fx)

System boots correctly if not in single mode.
Login is ok when selecting fluxbox as window manager instead of KDE
With fluxbox, all yworks fine except that freeze may occur when using 
applications which need some kde layers (gwenview)

Identified freeze are 100% reproductible.

This behaviour has been noticed twice on previous updates and solved after 
another updates.
No identified package except console (not X, not kernel, ...), no idea how to 
provide more accurate information.

If any idea to post more useful indication, please tell me.
