You have been subscribed to a public bug: on ubuntu 11.04 64bits, the system hangs and CPU overloads on following actions: - booting in single - login in KDE (blocked on 2 icons in splash screen, tools icon) - swapping to console on KDM (CTRL+Alt+Fx)
System boots correctly if not in single mode. Login is ok when selecting fluxbox as window manager instead of KDE With fluxbox, all yworks fine except that freeze may occur when using applications which need some kde layers (gwenview) Identified freeze are 100% reproductible. This behaviour has been noticed twice on previous updates and solved after another updates. No identified package except console (not X, not kernel, ...), no idea how to provide more accurate information. If any idea to post more useful indication, please tell me. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: natty -- General freeze when trying to access the console https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/767957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
