'./configure --enable-debug --prefix=/usr' and then proceeded with make.

My bottom line is. It should atleast be possible to make video cards
work by switching the actual hardware or by toggling it from bios. I'm
ok with asking the user to install another driver when the new card is
detected. I'm not ok with asking the user remove one driver to make
another card work.

This bug affects me on Kubuntu 9.10 64-bit. My Xorg freezes and uses 100 % CPU
if I open the JPG mentioned in the first post. The only way out is to kill Xorg
process.

Tried to install Ubuntu using the alternate CD:
I installed the base system and the ubuntu-desktop using aptitude. But I
was unable to build a debug version of Openchrome driver (SVN). When
trying to configure the package I get the error saying that Xorg
Server is not installed amongst other
Hello fellow earthlings daily beaten by this bug.
I used this workaround to permanently disable mousekeys shortcut shift
+num-lock, alt+shift+num-lock etc...
gksudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xkb/compat/complete
-or-
sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xkb/compat/complete
and comment out lines for mousekeys and
you can copy /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/11-x11-synaptics.fdi to
/etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-x11-synaptics.fdi and add your synaptics options there,
for example:
merge key=input.x11_options.RTCornerButton type=string2/merge

OK. Built it successfully. And checked it!
1) Commented out the no accel option
2) Added modeSwitch new option
Still there is the problem with disappearing windows. When I drag a
window by clicking and holding the title bar in the right-bottom
direction it disappears looking like being eaten

Ugh, forced version 2, recompiled and rebooted, same exact function. I
also, just for grins, went through a bunch of different online
solutions from setting up SHMconfig, gpointing-device-settings,
tpconfig, all to no avail.
Any more ideas? I am willing to try anything Fedora Core maybe?
What is the status of this? I would like to have more than four
keyboard layouts---it is one of the few things that make me nostalgic
for Windows! I have my system set up for English, Greek, French and
Spanish keyboards. I mostly use English and Greek, but on occasion I
use the Spanish and
