Hi all,

1.) I'm using unattended "nothing but net", on tftp server side: "append z_path=//samba/install ...", but is shown on bootup of the ramdisk as: "smbmount|mount.cifs \\samba\install ...", which won't mount. Overriding the bootdisk default with a "Y" asks me to mount default "(//samba/install)". Confirming the all other with just an enter mounts the share and is going on to install my windows xp with slipstreamed sp2.

2.) The same as above happens after installation executing the post-installation scripts. It didn't get the samba share, talking something about an invalid username a/o password. On the command prompt a "net use z: \\samba\install" will do it.

3.) Is it possible to use the startrom.n12 or startrom.com from microsoft to authenticate against the AD before installing an image or an os?

4.) Is it possible to pass some options ("-o" for the smbmount) to the append line of the tftp server, so it would be more nice to have a "smbmount //samba/install /z -oguest" which allows anonymous login without prompting for a password?

5.) I've tried to decompress the ramdisk (initrd) which is compressed with cpio. I'm only using gzipped ramdisks mouting them either via the loopback or cloop device. I want to make some changes inside it and want reusing the original standard ramdisk from unattended. I have no experiences with cpio'ed ramdisks, some little hints how to uncompress and mount, change and unmount them would help a lot.

Thanks in advance
