It works well for me under WinXP. I replaced all reboot-on
directives with ignore-err and after the last recommended update I do a reboot
(before the .NET framework will be installed). Works much much faster now!

From what I've seen after I heard about this, it mostly works. There
are a few updates that do need to restart the computer, otherwise
following updates will detect that that patch wasn't installed and
refuse to install. That's pretty much just with win2k, esp. after
installing IE6, Directx
