Mark,
Normally this is from a buggie *.inf file that inhibits the
unattenedness we needcheck for a newer unattened inf file
--Really...at least that's how I know things, but after all I know less
and less each day, good luck.
Quick answer, you don't
Long answer, you restore the 7.5 image; then reimage the restored image
with X.X versions.

Wondering if anyone has a workaround for this unattend.txt bug?

**SNIPPED**
The problem occurs because the Windows Server 2003 Installer interacts
with the embedded virtual install disk when the OEMPreinstall
I only asked about Bart's pe because I use it as a recovery/install
medium. I have an issue and that is my SP2'ed Bart's PE (slipstreamed
os and the merged into bart's fork files) cdrom; iso is about 689MiB
anyways the older machines do *not know how to boot from cdrom* take
like my old machine
Title: Re: [Unattended] AMD64 support?
As far as I know 2003 is the last version of windows to include the 16-bit winnt.exe. I've been using barts pe for the 32 bit winnt32.exe. Do you see an exe called winnt64.exe??? (-: you folks should really check out barts pe, so sweet.

Title: Re: [Unattended] AutoIt driven scripts - how to disable mouse and keyboard?
When I disabled the iprt87something driver, the keyboard and mouse stop excepting input. But the plug and play in w2k kept on redetecting the keyboard but I couldn't cancel it cause the service is stopped
Pat,
Never say cannot, just know it would require *.inf these updates would
need to be done to the source files and would need to be redone for
each slipstreamed service pack.

Title: Re: [Unattended] RE: Drivers
The workaround I did was to use the .reg file to 'slam' the path into the registry. The limit it always for dos char limit.

Or just use another livecd based distro - say www.pclinuxos.org - adjust what you want - trim what you do not need and then 'roll-your-own-distro' (they make it very simplistic.)
Title: Re: [Unattended] Unattended and Vista
Your going to need winpe I believe (winnt.exe does not have long to live in this life I believe.)

Folks,
We should all turn our efforts to barts pe if you wish to get vista installed in a graceful automated fashion.

Greetings,
Do you currently use BartPE?
It seems we have to move to some kind of Windows
Title: Re: [Unattended] Replacing linux/dos boot disk with Bart'sPE - Future of unattended
I wonder how much research was done - you can add whatever driver you need and most programs.

Yes I've seem this before its something about unattened vs attened install and oem vs builtin driver for the 5i and the 5300 scsi (ala massstorage, and pnpdrivers)
Title: Re: AW: [Unattended] Using Nlite prepared install files with unattended
Txtsetup.oem and proper 'stansa' in unattend.txt - I believe.

Only using the winnt32 will you get around this 16 bit issue.
