Recently upgraded to HBase-0.94.1 and Hadoop-1.0.3.
Since i was running a trial environment I hadnt added my machines to a DNS.

Hi Julian,
I am still failing to understand how the same
BigDecimalColumnInterpreter(BDCI) is working at my end. I am doing the
interpretation of the bytes in getValue method and i havent faced any

Looking at your life, it seems like SASL is just.a warning/info message.. your
real issue is invalid zookeeper sessions.. Can you try stopping everything,
delete zookeeper data dir and data log dir and start.. Also are you running a
version of zookeeper compatible with your hbase version?
Hi,
I've successfully installed Apache HBase on a cluster with Hadoop.
It works fine, but when I try to use Pig to load some data from an
HBase table I get this error:
ERROR org.apache.hadoop.hbase.mapreduce.TableInputFormatBase - Cannot
resolve the host name for /10.220.55.41 because of
A gentle reminder:
If you have 0.92.0 or 0.92.1 client pointing to 0.94.x cluster, the
following fix in 0.92.2 is important:
Can't enable a table on a 0.94 cluster from a 0.92 client

Please plan upgrading accordingly.

Thanks Marcos.
I applied the change you mentioned but it still gave me error. I then stop
everything and restart Hadoop and tried to run a simple Map-Reduce job with
the provided example jar. (./bin/hadoop jar hadoop-examples-1.0.3.jar pi 10

That gave me an error of:

Stack just pushed artifacts to Maven repo.
I was able to see them here:

Thanks Stack.
