I don't really understand Wade Smart's response, but have you tried
right-clicking in the affect cell and selecting 'Unprotect Cells'?

When I made a clean install on this laptop for Ubuntu 18.04, I did not
install Vivaldi.
I had it on the old setup for a while, but only used once, when I
