I confirm with LO 3.6.0.4 on Windows 7.
Count with the same file and MS Word Word 2002 is also différent.

I've never thought much about it, but have noticed that when I check
'properties' to be sure it is the way I wish it for some document, that the
# of pages/# words varies in OO/LO from when it's sent to a MSFT document
