Hi, I would like to use Kannel on a project in Cambodia and am trying to buy a modem but from the list at http://www.kannel.org/compatibility.shtm I cannot manage to buy any of them as they are quiet old. I prefer a modem rather than a phone because the project will involve many sms.

Hi, People have good experience with Huawei E220 (usb modem) in linux. Wavecom's Fasttrack is also an excellent serial choice. Both are available. Be aware: Some providers will deactivate your SIM if you send too many SMS. For that you should really look for an SMSc. BR, Nikos -
