Hi everyone,
I've just finished the kannel instalation and configuration. Everything
seems to work fine, messages are being sent without any serious problems.
But, since one of my smsc's is HTTP based, I'm required to send my internal
MSG ID to the end SMS gateway. That¹s really necessary in
your msgid. You just need it for yourself.
You know the SMS and the msgid you give it in your sendsms URL. when the DLR
comes back it will have that same msgid in its dlr-url that you specified.
Therefore you can match original SMS to DLR.

Nikos

Hi everyone,
Does anybody knows how can I send trough http parameter the SMS FOREIGN ID?
I have kannel working with SMSC HTTP GATEWAY, that in order to check further
status, I need to send my system's ID to Kannel when sending the messages
from my app to Kannel's HTTP server.
I already use many
carefully.

The thing is that if I dont send the message ID FROM KANNEL to my gateway,
the GW will never know what
through HTTP?
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I'm very new to Kannel. Its been just a few days since I've installed it
and it seems to be very helpful to me.
I've got everything working. Multi-routing, DLR and stuff like that.
The last thing I must figure out is how do I post my system's
it will have that same msgid in its dlr-url that you specified.
Therefore you can match original SMS to DLR.
