Hi!
CMEE=1 or 2 should be the init string correct?
I tried both but only get a generic error - maybe kannel is not talking to
one of the two built in TC35i.

For the error you get with the modem use CMEE=1 or 2 to have the modem
display detailed error message.

Kannel uses drivers to talk to smsc's. The main drivers it has is
SMPP and AT commands. If your modem suports it you just need to
configure kannel with the specific driver for your equipment.
The TC35 is(was?) a serial modem. So you should be able to connect to
it with the AT driver. However I

Search the lists for an available siemens modem definition. There is
also an example in the source code. You should add it to your kannel
config file.
Regarding the command from the manufacturer, Kannel does
or something like that.

By your logs, it seems kannel can communicate with one of your modems
directly.
Check userguide. There is a config parameter to disable the use of the PIN

Do you know if it's possible to use the TC35i to send/receive MMS? (using
mbuni)

I have a question. The SIM card that we place on the TC35i is a regular
SIM card? Like the one on my mobile phone.
yes its an normal SIM card. Dont forget to disable sim-buffering and use
ME instead.
Please *dont* hotplug the SIM card, unplug the power
.
I don't plan on having a very high volume of messages but I would like
something more dedicated instead of a mobile phone.
By looking around the list I believe that a Siemens TC35i is a good solution
for my needs and it seems to be fully compatible with Kannel.
I have a question. The SIM card

Yes, I used to.
My configs should be still somewhere in the list, back when I developed

I see that the modem list includes a TC35, but mine is a
TC35i. It initialises OK but any attempt to use sendsms
results in an error:

Hey,
My MC35i seems to do this. Does not really seem to effect anything
though. Does it stop you sms being sent?

Thanks, Dave.
