Hi,

 

            Sorry, but i think that the gsm MODEM give you the global gsm IP
(that is not the same when you connect to internet from you PC) (please some
one correct me if I am wrong), the hostname is how identify the Server and
the port is used to configurate the Server in some port that is not used.

to receive mms messages sent from mobile handsets through a mobile network
provider to my sim in the gsm modem?

Please explain further, I most likey don't know what the hostname =
localhost and port 1981 - is really meant to do.
