I am running the same configuration of MacBook Air OS & Open Office 4.1.5 and I have no such issues. Perhaps the problem is a conflict with another application or resource running in the background. Consider rebooting your computer and launch Open Office with no other applications running and see

hi. i try to answer two questions. first, if you cant start openoffice, you can try repairing and then try. if your issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall again. these kind of problems occures because when openGL enabled and i think if i am correct, openGL is not supported by openoffice.
