Rotation may be an issue, but the method described and illustrated in
the attached document works, even if you choose to save in one of
Microsoft's formats.

Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2017 - Bericht

Hallo,

heuer fanden wieder am 11. und 12.03.2017 die Chemnitzer Linux-Tage
statt. Die Chemnitzer Linux-Tage sind eines der größten
Freien-Software-Events in Deutschland.

Auch Apache OpenOffice war dort mit einem Stand in recht guter Lage und
angemessener Größe vertreten. Der Apache-OpenOffice-Stand war dank
freundlicher Helfer schnell an Ort und Stelle gebracht und aufgebaut. Er
wurde vom bewährten Team betreut.

Großer Beliebtheit erfreuten sich die ausgelegten kleinen Sticker mit
der Apache-Feder.

Unsere Freunde von LibreOffice hatten leider auch in diesem Jahr wieder
keinen Stand auf den Chemnitzer Linux-Tagen, sodass wir die üblichen,
oft gestellten Fragen beantworten mussten. Dieses Jahr war auch häufig
die Frage zu hören: "Ihr seid doch tot - warum seid ihr hier?"

Gut, dass wir die Unterstellung in dieser Frage dieses Jahr als
"alternative Fakten" charakterisieren konnten. Auch ganz sachlich
konnten wir sie natürlich beantworten.

Es gab gute und ausführliche Gespräche am Stand. Auch Nutzer-Support
konnte geleistet werden.

Es ist auffällig, dass in Chemnitz das Publikum gegenüber vergleichbaren
Veranstaltungen überproportional aus älteren Männern besteht. Aus dieser
Gruppe kamen recht viele Supportfragen. Es gab aber erfreulicherweise
auch viele junge Frauen im Publikum.

Am Stand wurden aber auch längere Gespräche mit Freunden und Bekannten
aus der Freien-Software-Community geführt.

Insgesamt war die kommunikative Arbeit der Standbetreuer vielseitig und
intensiv.

Die freundlichen Helfer haben uns dann auch wieder beim Abbau des
Standes und der Verladung unterstützt, sodass wir sehr pünktlich die
Rückreise antreten konnten.

Auch in diesem Jahr fuhren wir wieder mit dem Freedom-Tours-Bus [0].

Wir hoffen, auch in diesem Jahr am 19. und 20. August 2017 Apache
OpenOffice wieder mit einem Stand auf der FrOSCon [1] präsentieren zu
können.
