Are you using Internet Explorer? I tried with Mozilla and couldn't get it
to work either. Had to go with IE.

Yes, there is a way. Right Click on Open office in the task bar and you
will get a dialog box. You need to have the documents open first, of
course.

I had to look up the name myself. It is the bar at the bottom when you have
various windows open. They will say what you have. They run alongside the
start button. Right click on the Open office button and you will see what I
mean. I hope.

Try maximizing your window and then close it out. The next time it should
come out large.

FWIW, I have found that, when I need to import text into a formatted
document, it is better to import it into a new document, set it up and then
paste that into the first document. It's more than I want to do sometimes,
but it saves me a great deal of frustration.
Howard Sallee
I went to openoffice.org and found a way to do just that. I don't know if
it is worth the effort for me, but you might go find out. You need to do a
search through the site.

It is true that Open Office is a bit slower for some reason. I just open a
blank document whenever I boot up the computer and everything goes well.
I like OOo for many things. The problems I have are simply because of not
being familiar with the product.

I think the easiest way is to start at the beginning of the first page and
move the text down by typing your new text . If you just want a blank page,
press enter until you have it.

Try changing the margins. I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a
try.

I just downloaded Scribus. While it doesn't act just like MS Publisher, it
looks like a pretty good program. Can't wait to put something together and
print it out.

Some one asked recently how to stop the auto correct.
There is an icon on the page that has abc and a sqiggly line under it.
Click on it and the spell check will be disabled until you click on it
again.
