I have a small business.
I have an inventory made in OO spreadsheet.
I want to open a second OO spreadsheet to make some calculations for my
taxes so I want to be able to refer to the first spreadsheet, but OO
won't let me open a second spreadsheet. Why not?
When I try to open a 2nd blank
it right now! wink

the basics in the write thing? :(

The more I use Open Office the more I dream of MS Office. It doesn't
seem to be worth the extra effort to do
There is an L8167 but it's a shipping label, NOT a return address
label... it's half a page big!
and the other numbers aren't listed at all.

Thank you, James. I finally managed to download Scribus and I figured out
why I was going in circles before... my IE was blocking my downloads, LOL.

Just as there are alternatives to Microsoft Office, there are also

OpenOffice does not contain a publisher package, but you can do much
of that sort

Aha, I found the place in paste special where you choose to move cells
down or left and that worked. I copied the specific cells instead of the
whole row, chose paste special and chose to move cells down and in
they went.
Thanks to all for all their help on this.
As to the colors, I'm sorry -
I just started using Oo and opened an excel spreadsheet in it (my
inventory for my jewelry business)
It opened fine and all the functions seem to work well and pretty much
like excel except for two things:
1. When I try to cut and paste a range of cells - in excel you copy the
range, then right
Wow, isn't that interesting!? I just subscribed to this list and the
very first message I receive is about Piers Anthony, lol. I loved his
Xanth series. The puns Oh my, how I loved them, and particularly
loved his letters at the end of each one. :) Isle of View was one of my
favorites
