Ooops, you're right, the root cause for this one is rather clear now.
I mixed this bug with the General Input/ouput error, sorry ! For this one, the
root cause has not been found IIRC (but that's another discusion, bug report
has been closed but it keeps occurring).

In the event Mr Innes has saved the text and spreadsheet documents to a
folder other than «Temp», e g, «My Documents», clearing cache files
shouldn't disturb these documents at all. At least, I cannot remember any
difficulties of this type when running Windows

I don't think the cache cleaning has any influence (private data are not
related to the temp folder used by OOo at all).
