Lene,
What about comma separated values, cvs? I believe Quickbooks can import

Possible? Yes.

Pleasant? Effective? Well, you didn't ask for that...
That's not _my_ field!
Here's one attempt; perhaps there are other approaches that I'm not aware of
to make it appear as a continuous, smooth process.

I don't know of any that specifically integrate with OO.o, however this
one is free and works very well and its output can be copied

Hi,
I wonder if anyone knows of a function I might use to find the row

Depending on what the other source is doing the data pasted in is

If it helps the first column is a line number so it just increments

Don't know.

So one obvious, but not very generic solution was to realize that the
data always starts with the value 1 in cell A3, so =MAX(A3:A1)
returns the highest value and I can add 2 to that to get the row
address.
I'd rather find a more interesting and generic solution to this though
as I don't
Mark,
=(COUNT(A1:A65536)+1) will find how many rows have a number, no need to
be an incrementing number. =COUNTA(A1:A65536) will return the number of
rows that are non empty, that includes itself and cells that have space
in them.
Hope this helps.

Try
=MAX(NOT(ISBLANK(A1:A65536))*ROW(A1:A65536))
as an array formula--use Ctrl+Shift+Enter to enter the formula.
