I agree with this statement. A big reason why I choose SOGo is because
is the UI is functional, stable, responsive and it feels enterprise
ready.
Please do not turn SOGo into a dumbed down interface, or something slow
and clunky...

Presumably you are going to put more logic (and offline caching?) on the
client? And then make the SOGo server itself more like a JSON gateway server?
You can use a custom SOPE renderer to expose the SoObjects as JSON.
