I've been trying to get JVM monitoring through SNMP working with a Tomcat instance that I am running. I've followed the intsructions on this and other pages (http://gentoo-wiki.com/JVM_Monitoring_with_SNMP) and I'm having trouble specifically with having the JVM options take effect. i.e. after making the proposed changes and restarting tomcat I don't see a process listening on the desired port.
My question is: Has anyone else managed to get this to work for them?
