Re: [ApacheDS] Forcing Read-Only mode in Apache Directory Studio

Not sure if this is possible without compiling Studio from (modified) source
yourself, but I‘d strongly suggest you rather use your directory server‘s
access control features to assign those people read-only accounts to log in, if
you need to prevent them from making any changes.

[ApacheDS] Forcing Read-Only mode in Apache Directory Studio

2023-08-30 Thread Info Seek
This is a question about Apache Directory Studio, on the Connection screen,
the "Read-Only (Prevents any add, delete, modify, or rename operation)"
checkbox.

I would like a team of customer service reps to use Apache Directory
Studio to qualify issues, and would like the Read-only checkbox to be
checked and locked (grayed out) so they cannot inadvertently uncheck it. Is
there any existing means to ship Apache Directory Studio forcing Read-Only
like that? Has anyone else accomplished something like this, or would this
be an enhancement request?

Thanks!
