Hello,
I am running linux with a 2.6.14.3 kernel.
I am using the latest ping6 from usagi(snapshot 1/2/2006) with the
ENABLE_NODEINFO compiler flag.
This allows a -6 addrtype option where addrtype can be a character such as
g that will request the responder's global-scope addresses.
See man
Title: Neighbor deletion question
Hello,
I am running a 2.6.14 kernel and I have the following learned neighbor entry:
fe80::220:ecff:feab:2bce lladdr 00:20:ec:ab:2b:ce router STALE
I issue the following command to delete this entry:
Ip -6 neigh del fe80::220:ecff:feab:2bce dev eth0
To all;
Previously running Linux kernel 2.6.14.3:
In addrconf.c, in the function ipv6_add_dev,(see below in bold).
dev-ip6_ptr = ndev is set, then ipv6_mc_init_dev(ndev) is called
(mcast.c), which then calls ipv6_dev_mc_inc (mcast.c) for the all
nodes address.
This sets idev = in6_dev_get(dev)
