If I understand correctly, you wrote the file
"/usr/local/lib/mbuni/libmms_detokenizer_shell.so" by yourself or its an
existing file you modified to add your code?
What did you do in this file? match the string and return the MSISDN?

Has anybody ever decided to write a Nagios plug-in for Mbuni ?
I had a look at Nagios check_kannel user submitted plug-in and I was
considering to update it if possible to an Mbuni plug-in.
That would be a lot of help for everyone if it already existed,
