Further to my post yesterday I have poked around a bit and it seems mmsbox
segfaults on calling wsp_strings_init().
Is this a library problem?

I have installed Kannel gateway-1.4.3 from sources.
This is the same version as the earlier install I had from Ubuntu repositories.

Pete.

Is this on Amazon EC2 by any chance? We've had a similar problem and can't
quite work out what has caused it.

What version of gcc do you have? Works perfectly fine on my SuSE 12.1
pete@cloudserver:~$ gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
COLLECT_GCC=gcc

I don't have Ubuntu. Would you be able to run this in gdb and give me a
backtrace just after the segfault? I am sure we can track this down.

Hello,
I have a partially working mmsbox setup. I am trying to send MMS messages via a
mobile phone using the 'custom' mmsc type in mbuni.
Occasionally, it works. Mostly, however, the connection to the service provider
mmsc fails.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Regards,
Pete.

After getting my setup mostly working I had one annoying problem - non - ascii
characters in text files (e. g. '£') referenced by the smil file were not
displaying correctly on the phone.
My application was writing the text to text files in a directory of an Apache
web server. The smil file
