I asked my representative to introduce Oregon legislation basically
identical to Hawaii HB36. See response below.

Thank you for your voicemail and email received about the metric
system. Right now, we are preparing for the 2014 short session,
which Rep. Cameron is limited to two bills to introduce. He will
not be able to introduce this concept during that time. If this is
something you would like to prepare for the 2015 legislative
session, we can certainly put you in contact with legislative
counsel and have them draft a bill. If you would like to discuss
this further with Rep. Cameron I can help facilitate setting up a
meeting.
