I'm going to sell my '88 wheels. Does anyone know what other bikes can use
these without modifications?
Thanks,
Bryan

Terry,
I used black RTV Silicon to repair a 1" rip in
the diaphram on a 1975 Mercedes. Worked well,
until I got the new part 2 mo later.

Good report. Does anyone have pictures they can post of the "tricked out" stuff
seen at Roy's bar-b-que? I'd like to see the Vmax with the single-sided
swingarm.
Since I don't have a pass. seat for mine, the CBR900 seat transplant sounds
kinda
cool too.

Greetings - my first inquiry to the V-max group.
I recently purchased a new '99 model Vmax and I love it! Power, power, and
more power!
Although I'm still breaking in the engine (that task should be completed
sometime this week) I'm only getting about 25mpg in town which I was quite

Those gas mileage #'s are pretty consistent w/mine however, I once got as
much as 44 mpg on a long road trip, in which average speed as embarrassing
and abnormal as it sounds was 70mph. You should brace yourself, if you add
performance products you will gain HP but you will lose gas mileage.
I was getting 30mpg on the highway when I first bought my max. It had been
jetted incorrectly though. After going back to stock main jets and needles,
I now got 42 mpg on the way to daytona last weekend(50-70). As soon as you
get into the Boost, expect much much lower.
Does anyone know

Neal,
You've got a really nice bike, why spoil everything with a set of cobras? Seriously
those pipes are only meant to make noise and upset the proper combustion and horse
power delivery (apart from the neighbours). I understand when you say that you get
plenty of power, since V-max is more

Hey guys. The bicon for the vmax is 199 pounds, which equals to $312.00. A
while back I was asked by a U.S bicon distributor to test their bicon on a
vmax. The problem was it wouldn't work with a 4 coil system. I sent that one

Hi fellas,
Amazing, but in the end I got the set of oval canisters from TBR through their rep. in
Holland. It took about a month, so I can seriously say that living in the US has many
advantages, one of them being that you store plenty of stuff and normally pick out
from a shelf. Us in Europe

Charles, glad to hear that your experience has been so good with your
latest purchase. So the slip-ons you purchased is a "single" can and not
the duals? I am interested in keeping the symmetry of the dual cans but
didn't really like the way TBR held their cans in place(long

I have a chance to buy a GSXR 1100 front fork assy.
What modifications are involved to install it on a
max.
Will the results justify the effort and cost?
THANKS AL H.

Charles-I too have a Two Brothers system, only a 4/1 with carbon cannister. I also
read thier warning regards dyno running with the carbon cannister. Ran mine last week
on the dyno. Bike was fully warmed up. After the pull I went over and felt the
cannister for hot spots. None, warm yes, but
I have a set of Galfer braided hoses for an 88 max brand new still in
box that I bought from ernie. Enqurie if you need a set.

Al,
I just mounted a frontend from a ZX9R on my '88 and here's what has to
be done. Triple tree clamps need to be machined. This could be VERY
expensize unless you know someone who has made them before for the same
setup. Your front wheel won't just bolt on. I also bought a new set of
wheels.

The electronics that I am looking at can be found at http://www.sdsefi.com.
I would consider the fuel only system "D" as the new digital filtering
should enable to us to use a tach or coil feed rather than having to make
and use a cam or crank sensor. A while back both I and the firm was
