Stan, I thought you might be interested. This weekend I indulged myself. On
saturday morning I went down to a local dyno shop (Dynojet-150). Asked him to
do power runs. Peak power was 112hp. This is a bike with 13,500miles on it from

I have minis on my 99, they are carbon fiber look a likes they tuck in
perfectly and were just matter of bolting off and bolting on. With wiring of

Hi guys,
I'm trying to put together the best "Daytona Bike Week" tape

so I would like to know if somebody has:

Kurt, don't. Stay with the stock one. Some have tried the one dale

Riding a bike for short periods does more wrong then you think. It needs
at least 20 min. at freeway speeds, 70 mph, to get hot enough to burn
the moisture out. Also the motor has been accumulating moisture over
night and is deposited in the oil. Along with it the by products of the
fuel, sulphur

Kurt,
Last summer I bought the one from Dale Walker, it has worked
great for me. It helps keep my Max run a lot cooler on those HOT
nasty HUMID days in Tokyo. That fan really pushes the air.
At the end of summer I also started using Red Line Water Wetter
and that really helped also.

Brad, I'm suprized, know too many people that have bought his fan blade

True, antifreeze stores heat and doesn't release it as well as plain
water. Adding Water Wetter will help.

Don,
I also meant to add Radian to the list. This means fabricating a bracket to
adapt the tach to Mr. Max. Someone wrote me off-list and mentioned MadMax
and a few other aftermarket retailers w/ tach packages. Which I could
remember who and where. Unfortunately I got hacked a while back

I've just received my Race Tech springs and noticed that they are almost
6 inches shorter than the stock VMax springs. Is this correct? I was
under the impression that the stock spacers are cut shorter for the new
springs.
Thanks
Gary

They're correct. They use a straight rate spring instead of a
progressive. You need to make longer spacers. The tubing is supplied in
the kit.

As I said, After trying with the needles in the last position (sixth from top), having
the most amount of fuel and the bike behaving like a mad cow, I tried the 5 th notch,
which was the recommended position from Dynojet after listening to my situation.
Now the bike performs well, has regained

James, there are no adjustments, if its slipping time for new discs. The
Kevlar from Barnett, half the price of stock, work great. I've got

Gary, if your kit is like mine you probably won't have enough stock to cut 2
new one peice spacers. what i did was to use the stock ones and stack the
new ones on top, this is no problem IF you put 1 of the kit washers on top
of the springs then the new spacer, then the other kit washer and the
Don, I too put the Barnett in my max and it worked great. Do you think there
is any benefit doing the double mods with this set up. I also put a dale

way or the other. The bad thing is I paid $65 for the kit and later found

Charles,
Hopefully, your wiring harness contains the three wire connector to
feed your Vboost controller. On a factory Vboost bike there is a 3
wire connector present inside the left intake cover ... the plastic
that is behind the intake cover provides a mounting point for the

Hi Neil, I have a Chatter box system for talking with my passenger or my

Thanks for the details of your story. I enjoy this type of feedback and most people
don't say what they run. a 1.83 0-60 is decent. You hit a 1.70 and you are
really doing what the vmax is capable of in terms of a holeshot. Launch around 7-8
grand and feather the clutch. You will get it
