Been experimenting with a 97 and 98 max. Both low mileage stock bikes. Have
been comparing several of the minor mods discussed on the list. BUT find
both bikes are toping out at 133 to 134 MPH. This is 4th gear approximatley
8500 to 9000 RPM.(a little hard to read the SMALL tach without my

I hope they come off without damage a spider has moved into the
Virago speedo ... I suspect he thought it a safe place to not be
disturbed He is getting bold; looking at me through the glass,
(giving me the middle feeler) ... It is made the same as the Vmax way
but with a bullet cover
TC, you've got a good excuse if you get pulled over, " but officer I was
riding along minding my own business when this spider came out of
nowhere and held the indicator down and I couldn't tell how fast I was

I punched your figures into my "speed" spreadsheet ... add ...
if you are running a stock tire, (rolling radius of 12.47 inches), you
are turning 9900 RPM at 134.35 MPH in forth gear . If you were to
shift into 5th at this speed you would be turning 8500 RPM ... Soo
if
TC / MARK , appreciated the feed back. Tomorrow (weather permitting) will
try and get a better reading on the tach. Will also measure tire
circumference. I realize either or both the tach and speedo could be off,
but both bikes aren't pulling past the 133/134 point. Guess a good chance
altitude
