Paul,
I'm sure you are correct .. I simply couldn't visualize what else
these wheels could possibly do to the chassis besides change the ride
angle, (because of a different rolling radius), or change the load
center on the axle because of the offset. Without something else going
un-detected ... .

Dennis,
The older style 4-1,all the head pipes meet at the
same point, 4 into the 1 collector.
With the 4-2-1,the 2 front head pipes meet at a 2-1
Y,along with the 2 rear head pipes, this 2-1 then goes
into the 1 pipe back to the can.
I don't know if this answers your question,as for

andy,
i have no knowledge of the ohlins damper but i
do have the hyperpro and like it. i think the way the
hyperpro mounts to the vmax is the way to go and it is
very adjustable and well built. in my opinion the way
other dampers are mounted to mr.max doesn't look so
hot.

Hyperpro was offering us discounts for the damper. I
remember the latest price being $350. Below is the contact
info for the guys I got mine from. They first offered these
dampers in bulk for 300/ea but we had to get 10 or more orders
together - which wasn't a problem.

I have the 97 with the oil leak. I couldn't find the source myself and I
took it to the dealer -- the day it decided to stop leaking! The dealer
took a look at it and did some other sked maintenance, but he figured it
stopped leaking on its own. It didn't leak when I brought it home, but it
Mike, Lang has also thrown us another curve. Seems he's also makng them
with spigots front and rear. Put one on a friends here two months ago
and rear tubes were on piece. Greg Hollis got one and it has seperate
spigots like the older system.

Don,
Was it easier to install? as 1 piece. My 4-2-1 came
with the rear 2 tubes separate from the 2-1 piece that
has the 2 horizontal spirals that are under the engine
block which goes into the 2-1 adapter to the can.
Getting those 2 rear tubes in crossed over one another
was a tight fit..they
It can be both according to how well they fit

I wonder if I just got an older model pipe that they had in stock. I bought
it locally but they got the pipe from street and competition. I finally got
my springs from Hindle after a month wait. Also if anybody needs mounting
instructions for their Hindle pipe, you can pull up the Two Brothers
Can anyone tell me what is involved when widening the swing arm, keeping
the shaft drive, or is that even possible?

Are you talking about widening or just "Notching" to fit a wider rim/tire???

I know about knotching, but was wondering if it was possible to widen
the stock swing arm so a 200 radial could be installed. Keeping the
shaft drive. Or is that for chain drive only?
When knotching, how much can you take out without hurting performance ?

I kept the shaft on mine. In most cases the notch on the left side of the
swingarm is made a little deeper. There is a lot of room inside the shaft
housing. The actual shaft is only about an inch in diameter.

This is driveshaft dependent. To see exactly how close your shaft is in the
inside you can remove the wheel and drill a 1\16th hole in the swingarm where you
want to notch and you will be able to
