the clicking u hear is the fuel pump and the vboost cycling when u turn the
key on, just look into the side right front of the carbs and turn the key on,
u should see the vboost cycle up then down

hey, heres the way it works, center is vboost off, flip the switch up wait
a second and half flip to off , that keeps the boost open, if you leave the
switch in the up pos. it cycles down , (but does not go back to auto), flip
the switch in the down pos. and it takes the system back to full

BOB, i checked the stop on my butter flys, they have a stop at wideopen,
what happens is there is a two to three sec delay when it starts to cycles
down , after riding sunday and flipping the switch to open many times then
checking i found that just flip the toggle to open wait a cocuple

Ok race fans, i have come up with and wired in a really simple vboost switch,
i ran the max out this morning and it worked great, its a simple on off
toggle switch that i wired on the throttle assy, it requires on two wires to
be run up to the handle bars, i used the vmaxs own relay assy , u
owning a max is a full time job.

Ok race fans, here it is, i rode the max all afternoon here in sunny florida
and had no problemo with what i did , so here goes (do at your own risk) go
to radio shack and buy the smallest toggle switch they have , it will be a
on/ off two pole switch, also buy the rubber screw on boot to

signal from the tach to open and also the grey wire tells the micro
procsser in the black box that we have already cycled the system once , by
disconnecting the grey wire we are now just using the yamaha box as a

well i have just spent two hours setting up a tempory switch, what i am
trying to achive is the best of both worlds lol, to turn the boost on with
the bike running and back to auto with the bike running, what i have done
today is isolate the wires as to what each one does and when it does
the boost comes on auto around 6 grand and goes back off below 6000, its a
set of butterflys that open a cross over tube between two sets of carbs, all
maxs have them stateside, maybe your relay box has been disconnected? as some
of us do to keep it on

mode? my lite comes on now at about 85 miles , iam figureing it would inprove
enough for like when i rode it to daytona last weekend, or iam i going in the

on the way over best i got was 110 alittle into the reserve, but now that i
have the stage 7 on ( but i retained the vboost but in the on pos.) around
town it eats the gas. i think ihave a switch about done, turns vboost on
while running and can turn back to autoboost , will post the wiring
drilling my own MK jets now to try and do the fine tune mine before the next
dyno run wed, night

only thing permanment on stage 7 kit is drilling slides, other than that u
can take a stage 7 back to stock, there is alot of difference between a stage
7 and just vbooast, being on all the time, stage 7 adds more HP

just got back from the last dyno, finished puttin in the stage 7 kit last
night and took it to the dyno tonight , 121.7 with the 2" baffle in it , and
a darn near power cure and gax mix on the chart. really happy with it , now i
can start the fine tune to try and get to 128 .does hindle offer
162.5 MK jets needle clip at #4 hindle pipe with carbon fiber super sport,
fuel screws at 1. 1/2 turns, interesting we keep the bike on the dyno for two
hours changing things , produced the most hp with the fuel screws at 1.1/2,
wes feels a less restrictive canaster or kercker pipe would put

power drops off at around 9600 slighty then falls fast, acording to the

has anyone had exp. with installing Mk jets vers DJ jets in a stage kit, my
175 DJ jets are bad as in thread size is screwed up , called dj last night
and got into a huge hassle with them , there anwser is that is impossible,
they never screw up, my 175s right out of the box fall in the
ll i have called DJ twice and both times they BSed me big time, so i went to
162.5 Mk jets, based on your chart comparsion, closet to 175 DJDJ was no
help, they said there is no way there jets be be machined wrong so i have no
choice, i have aton of MK jets and i think they are a better

installer has been a favorite of mine for years , LOL, yes they could be
having just a bad two days , i tend to treat poeple with respect, thats why i

Hey thanks for the input, i just ran the bike , seems to be pulling good, i
have the 162.5 Mk jets in it , neddle clips at #4 slot and left the Vboost
on but opened it open and unpluged it, i think i might be rich on top end
altthough it will pull to 10,000 in 5th gear at 150mph. no burping
going to try and dyno it wed morning to see i just changed the air jets to
190 and made a half hour run,i thinks your right alittle to rich, will change
mains after the dyno run, maybe 160S

restrictors was never drill all the way through, we drilled it out and that
