I installed Hotgrips with thermostat controller on my '99 Max.
They work real well, but don't expect to electrically start your Max after
running the grips on HIGH for an extended period of time.
The grips themselved are much more comfortable (and stickier) than the stock

I received the Autometer Tachometer 2 coil adapter #19241,
connecting 1 coil at a time gives me 50% rpm,
both coils gives me 0 RPM.
go figure..

The Tach is an automotive 4-6-8 cylinder version. (I have clipped the 2
leads provided for 4 cylinder operation)
I opened the tach to see if I can replace/correct the circuitry to double
the # of RPM's, but the entire assembly was dipped in resin!
I read the original instructions (diodes
I have tried the 2 diode connection as described in previous digests, but it
still causes the opposing coil to fire. The diodes got very hot and only
worked for about 20 seconds.
I called Autometer tech support and they told me that automotive tachs would
not work on bikes and that there was no
e with the Corbin) I had to
sit on the seat while finding the bolt holes, thankfully the seat "settled"
and I can easily remove the seat and reinstall in seconds.
