manual. You can determine TDC by using the flywheel marks, (there are
two .. 70 degrees apart of course), or since you have the valve
cover(s) off anyhow it is quite easy to see when each set of valves is

the battery should be above 12.5 as sulfation starts in the 12.40s ...
a fully charged liquid lead acid battery would normally be setting at

No .. I don't think you are missing anything. Thomas said that when he
released the lever he gained measurable daylight/clearance instead of
just seeing them relax somewhat. He also noted that with the stock
setup he did not get this, (clearance), only noticed them relaxing.
