Scott, Have you ever checked the cam timing ? If the cam timing is out
of
phase the engine will do this . I would look at this after eliminating
the ignition but I would think that a bad ignition coil would show on
the dyno sheet the plugs should show a bad coil after a dyno run . The

Thanks Eric. That was exactly my next thing to do after ignition.

If it were something in the fuel system it would seem that would show up as a lean
condition wouldn't it? I haven't changed the fuel filter yet but I will tonight. I
have been told that the vacume advance does so little that is is not even used on
bikes with flatslide carbs.

On Ingo's site in tips they talk about a model with a speed restriction
module in the speedometer case. You don't have one of those I hope.

Nope, fuel starvation will not necessarily show up as a lean
condition. It

Scott, a couple of things to look at. Does it do it in all gears? Fuel
pump might have trash or blockage of some type, maybe wore out or a
loose connection. Someone mentioned about the phasing of the cams. If
they are incorrect, then thats exactly what will happen at 7,500, is
fall on its face.
Don,
I have the restrictors in place. I am strating to think about this fuel
starvation thing more. I there any way to load test this i.e. fuel system?

I haven't heard of any specs for a load test, but in the past I've
unhooked the line and used a container to hold fuel to see how long and
how hard a stream of fuel would flow. Is it doing it in all gears?

I wanted to see if anyone has a clue what could be worng with my bike.
Here's the story...

When I dyno my bike it makes great power up to about 100 mph, sorry didn't
hook the tach lead up for RPM. That's where things go to hell,

This was a 4th gear run. The V-boost is on all the time, i have checked the
slides and I'm pretty sure the mains are a little fat but that is not the
problem. I can vary the HP be 3-5 depending on main jets I use but it is
still the same place where it falls flat RPM wise. I am firmly
parts w/ Stan ??
If I were allowed to do only "one" thing to anyone's bike to make it
behave exactly like this I would make sure the Vboost stayed
closed all the time.
good luck,

I actually started with the manifold tubes on the bike and it was doing the
same thing. I have since put the v-boost back on and have it locked open. I
even changed exhaust systems through all this. Went from a Hindle to a
Kerker. I am at a loss too.
Thanks for the help.
