TC, After going back again and reading past posts about possible popping
through the carbs,i realized this subject has been covered to extreme.

I have 39 mm FCR Kehin on my Vmax and am having some problems getting the
set up right.
Originally I had 145 mains and 60 pilots. The bike ran fat everywhere. The
plugs were fowled, the exhaust was coated with soot (inside) and the mileage

ok here we go. bear with me. ive read the archives but i dont think it
applys. i have a 2000 Max with about three thousand miles on it. at about
400 miles i started to get a little "pop" when i started to take off from a
stop sign after i would blip the throttle at the roll up to the stop
My Max came with a Vance Hines exhaust system... The VH web site doesn't
list a system for the Max... I don't know if it does anything for
performance, but it looks and sounds better than the stock system on my old
Max... Anyone have any experience with the VH system or do I have a

I have a tech question about the V-boost on my 2000
max. The Cable coming from the servomotor, is it
supposed to have some slack in it? The V-Boost comes
in at about 7000 rpms. I do not know if I am just
getting use to the V-boot or it's just not opening all
the way up. Any ideas? Thanks Marc

I ran my bike in 20 degree weather and didn't have any problems... Now
that I have a few more dollars in my motor I am going to winterize it
but normally I wouldn't worry about it unless it consistently goes below
zero...

I live in Illinois and have a heated attached garage. I am considering
running my Max all year and plan to take a weekly ride regardless of the
weather , except for snow covered streets of course. My 2000 max is stock
from the factory (except supertrapps) , what is the usual

Hi guys I`m wanting to improve the braking on my
96 V-max ...what improvements can i do to the standard brakes what other

i have a 93 max that seems to wear out front tires very quickly. i use
high quality tires (pirelli, metzler, dunlop) but they all start to
"cup" after about 4k miles. the front end has progressive springs,
furber fix, fork brace and new wheel bearings. I'm aware that all

What air pressure are you running ??? I would suggest 40+ psi and avoid heavy
breaking with the front break at low speeds..this works for me.

Wayne remove the two bolts, one on each side. You can get the spring off

I am in the middle of replacing my rear brake pads and have what I hope is a
minor problem.
Both cylinders were out different amounts when I removed the old pads.
One pad the right side compressed back into the body fairly easily using a
