just doesnt like to get wet. The spa tach has 3 internal shift lights that
you can program at any rpm each. I think I will keep the big msd unit as

There are ample instructions in the manuel that is supplied with the
tach . All you need to do for the speedo is enter the tire circumference
and then you can adjust it to give proper speed .
It took me longer to find the suplies and write up the instructions than
to actually do

Well Joe it looks like I'm going to make a simple bracket to mount the
hall effect sensor on the rear brake bracket . The wire can follow the
brake hose and it won't be something sticking out in the open .
As far as the mini tach goes I have three more gages to mount on the

The tach. is so responsive . It runs with the engine with no lag or over
run. I haven't got the speedo working yet but if it is half as good as

got some time to get my bike back up and running . I will say that with
very little modification the tach will fit into the original speedo
housing and mounts back on the bike . It looks like Yamaha put it there

I received the Autometer Tachometer 2 coil adapter #19241,
connecting 1 coil at a time gives me 50% rpm,
both coils gives me 0 RPM.

I hear that a 'cycle specific tach is required? I'm going to use the
stock speedo location and mount a smaller speedo on the bar to the side.
The version with rev limiter sounds great, I'd never heard that one.

Obviously, if you connect the tach to "one" Vmax coil you are only
going to get one pulse per revolution, (if we weren't doing waste
spark we would only get one every other revolution), and read half of
what you are supposed to ... even using the 4 cylinder setting .
