I see that Dunlop has discontinued the K591 front. The indicate that the 501
is the replacement.
My front tire is worn and cupped. The rear is fine. Has anyone used the 501
yet ?

Title: Average Age (non-tech)
I guess this makes me one of the pups of the group. At 33 (bought when I was 31) I can never see me getting rid of this bike. Even after some 'person' took me out summer before last and caused 6K in damage, I still wanted to get that beast back on the road. My

I think I have you beat. I am 29 years old and own a
2000 V-Max.
My father owns a 1995 Max that he bought new. I have 4
other motorcycles all of which are very fast. None of them like the Max
though. When my father took me for my first ride on his, that was when
Have you ever thought of reversing your shift pattern. I used to always grab neutral
instead of second and could never find neutrial when I wanted until I did this. Just
a thought.

Actually they are illegal. But law enforcement officers are not the most intelegant
people in the world!!! Most states have laws that "prohibit the attachment of an
external fuel cell that would cause rupture in the event of a roll over". I think
mine would fall into this class. But hey,
Some one asked me where I got my shift light. Right now I have a MSD = $175. I do
not recomend this light to anyone. They require a "pill" to set the RPM. These are @
$38 for a pack of five that are 100 RPM incriments. This light is not made for bikes.

Kraig,
Get yourself some fuel tank foam and stuff your aux tanks full of the stuff.
It will only displace about 3% of the volume and will really kill the
sloshing.

I might give that a try... I was thinking of how to do that. The F-16's cells are
full of this stuff. Do you know where I can get some and can I get it through the
filler spout?

My two pennies on age! I bought my first Max at age 22 it was an 89 I loved
it but traded it in on a corvette! For the next 5 years I regretted it so I
also bought a 2000 this year at age 28. The best part about this bike and
this group of people is that age doesn't matter!

I live in Illinois and have a heated attached garage. I am considering
running my Max all year and plan to take a weekly ride regardless of the

every day kept it clean covered etc.. never had a problem with freezing
