Facet makes a electronic fuel pump that we used on experimental air craft.
Its small and has good reliability. Look at aircraft Spruce and supply.

Bob, my fuel pump has done the same thing to me a couple of times.
First time i took the pump apart looking for a problem, couldn't find anything wrong with it. I put the pump back in and it worked fine. Last spring it happened again, got a used pump from my local salvage yard and it blew fuses

I would tell your dealer to take a hike ... The "list" price for a
fuel pump is $229.29 and the price hlsm.com is selling them for is
$176.37 ... ( http://www.hlsm1.com/ ). Of course if you are a VMOA
member you can use one of the discount dealers and probably do better
