Hello all, I am doing some cleanup of my home office and I have a ton of
books that need to go. Most I will be recycling, but a few I thought may be
of interest to members of this group.
The following titles are all from O'Reilly and are mostly relevant to open
source:

I don't subscribe to any currently, but I have been picking up Linux Format
on occasion and find it to be very good. The fact that they published
Paul's letter in a recent issue can be interpreted as a pro or con,
depending on your point of view :) They have these at Barnes and Noble if
you want
Tomcat is a good start. I'd hook up a REST endpoint for collecting data
from the Java application. Whether you want to deliver the front-end this
as an application, applet, or WebStart is not really of high importance,
IMO. The REST endpoint will provide read and write access through some data

Its not open source (gasp!) but it is free (as in beer)... give VMWare
a shot. Specifically VMWare Server. I've had great luck using this
for work, running on both windows and linux. No issues at all with
