/dev/hdd1 is a XFS filesystem. It seems that when this path is mounted on
/dev/hdd I cannot log in via pop! IMAP works fine though.
FilesystemSize Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1 5.5G 865M 4.3G 17% /
/dev/hdd1 37G 2.5M 37G 1% /home/vpopmail
Sorry incorrect diagnosis.
qmail3:/home# telnet localhost 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.

Now works, having changed the mount option in /etc/fstab to defaults.
Apollogies.
XFS don't seem to be the problem. Most of my mail servers
works with XFS, over IDE, SCSI and even RAID by sofware.
Please, send us more information about the problem giving us
details about your instalation process and the network
configuration and client
Best regards

I agree, I've been using XFS with vpopmail for a while now and haven't
had any problems.

I am using netqmail 1.05, tcpserver, and vpopmail. I can now login using
all means necessary but I have to use the username%domainname setup to
login. I only have one domain here. Is there a setting that I am missing
so that I can not use the %domainname suffix?
